7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007
Nevada Power Wengert Room
Presentation by Heather Fisher, Director, Nevada Scenic Byways Coalition: Discussion about vehicle deterrents planned for bike lanes on 159. NDOT has received a split opinion from cyclists on rumble strips or no rumble strips in the bike lanes on 159. When presented with a third option, however, cyclists from all teams, clubs, shops are united in the opinion that RPMs and RRPMs ("buttons" or raised pavement markers and reflective raised pavement markers) are the preferred method most condusive to cycling safety. A petition is being circulated in this regard.
